Who created Inspiration & Discipline?
I founded Inspiration & Discipline to bring leadership inspiration and discipline to leaders, teams and organizations. I act as a pauzing, sparring and accountability partner.
Who am I? 20+ years experience in leadership positions: CEO, board, business development and executive (team) coaching | Executive MBA | ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) | Doctorate in leadership psychology | Numerous personal and organizational development certifications.
My work with leaders is psychological, mindful and strategic. I go deep, practical and business-focused at the same time. I have worked with executives and teams from a broad range of organizations across the globe: Microsoft, BCG, SAP, Nike, Marriott Global, and start-ups in various stages of their development. My vision for leaders is to find their own authentic way to lead. That journey starts with self-awareness and it needs self-reflection. Research is clear on that pausing to reflect on thinking and acting, especially in high stakes contexts, improves leadership effectiveness.
Leaders come in all shapes and forms and are most successful when they know their strengths, make an effort to continually access their blind spots and cope with their own reflexive tendencies. Leaders' behavior critically influences the culture in their teams and organizations. Self-aware leaders make a difference for their teams! My work with leaders is around connection, clarity, coaching and commitment. I speak 5 languages and work in 3, have lived, and worked in 7 countries, now in the US for more than 7 years. Amsterdam still feels like home. Proud mother of two sons and gratefully married for more than 20 years.
